When we responded in 2001 to the Pentagon disaster and the Department of the Interior detail, we stayed at the Embassy Suites, 1250 22nd St NW. We detailed in hundreds of law enforcement and support personnel to the hotel for about six months. The city was still in shock from the tragedy and the hotel had lots of rooms. We were able to give them business and they gave us incredible lodging and service. We made many friends and the photos here show some of our best friends who still worked at the hotel on our visit ten years later, 9/11/2011.

It was so great to see our friends from the hotel staff and catch up on how they are doing. They have so much going on in their lives, coming from other countries, raising families, working long hours, yet they always ask about us and our families, they are always gracious and smiling. Thank you all at Embassy Suites.

I wish I had taken a few more photos of the lobby and the other areas of the hotel. It is very lush and comfortable. But, here are a few so you can get some idea of what it is like.
