About me: I live south of Missoula, Montana on the west side of the Bitterroot valley. Many of my photos are taken here in western Montana, but also around the world. I love being outdoors. I hike, bike, fish, hunt, ski and ALWAYS take photos.
I use a Canon 7D and 5D Mark III (with a few lenses and tripods) and shoot in RAW. I process my photos into JPG with Adobe Lightroom with as few adjustments as possible.
Freda, our Chesapeake Puppy in her first year
We picked Freda up April 11 when she was 7 weeks old (BD 2/20/09) from Florence Wells in Belgrade, MT. Freda has been the best puppy ever. She slept much of the way home - about a 5 hour trip with a few stops. The next day we took her on a river float. She is getting her schedule down, has figured out that the cats don't want much to do with her and is curious about the chickens. She is learning to come, getting house broken and falling in love with Chickadee Lane. We love her.
BD 2/20/2009, SR55208302, Sire Wade's Honor SN78160805 (11-05), Dam Elizabeth's Pride SR12713002 (11-05). Breeder, Florence Wells, Belgrade MT.
July 2009. As Freda grows, she is full of surprises. She is more beautiful than we ever imagined. Even more wonderful is her loving, sweet disposition. All dogs want to please, but maybe not as much as Freda. She "wants" to be good, to be loved, to have fun, to play, to hug, and be the best dog and companion she can. Her best friend is our large tom cat, Timmy. They dart around the yard and tumble in the grass, crash into my gardens and chicken coop. They are hilarious. Then they roll around and lap each other. Who would have figured? Each day she gives us more love than we deserve, but I am not going to argue with that. Visit often for more photos. If I can get my shutter speed fast enough, I will click one of Freda and Timmy!
Be sure to continue through the pages of photos to see her - she is growing up! 6 months old, now, and much, much bigger. How big will she get?
